AGI is currently developing a range of product candidates to treat a variety of unmet medical needs, including GI diseases and disorders. The company is focused on the development of specialty products for market segments where there are unmet medical needs or where the effectiveness of existing drug therapies can be further improved, and where the clinical and regulatory route to approval may be less costly. Some of the company's development programmes will be targeted to indications which may meet the criteria for Orphan drug status.
The company has an existing pipeline of active clinical-stage product candidates which are either isomers or new drug delivery formulations of existing approved drugs, and which have established safety and tolerability profiles in their currently approved clinical indications. AGI is now seeking to advance the development of these new differentiated products as internal programmes and/or by establishing partnerships with other pharmaceutical companies.
