| AGI is developing a range of product candidates to treat a variety of prevalent gastrointestinal ('GI') diseases and disorders, including irritable bowel syndrome, functional dyspepsia, ulcerative colitis and gastro-esophageal reflux disease.
We are targeting areas of the GI therapeutic market for our product candidates where there are currently unmet medical needs or where the effectiveness of existing drug therapies can be further improved.
Our focus on established or KME
drugs allows us to identify and develop products in an accelerated time frame which can be progressed to regulatory filing within 3 to 5 years of initial commencement of development as compared to up to 10 years for new chemical entities.
AGI currently has six product candidates in clinical development where we are in each case attempting to establish a new use and clinical indication or an improved therapeutic profile.
