| Mary Martin, Ph.D,
Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer Dr Martin has been chief operating officer of AGI since 2004. Prior to this Dr Martin worked in a number of roles in pharmaceutical research and development, project and portfolio management and other roles for Élan Corporation plc and its subsidiary companies including managing director, Élan Biotechnology Research (2000-2003); senior vice president, project & portfolio management, Élan Drug Delivery (1996-2000); head of biological sciences, Élan Drug Delivery (1994-1996) and manager technical data/director device development, Élan Corporation plc (1989-1994). Dr Martin is a pharmacologist and holds a PhD in pharmacology (University College Dublin, 1989), a BSc (hons) in pharmacology and toxicology (University College, Dublin, 1985) and a certified diploma in accounting and finance (ACCA, 1991).
